I've got to decide if I'm going to go to the Shaolin Wheel of Life exhibition at Lisner. It's in two weeks, and the Qi Elements school is working on arranging a carpool out to go see it. The tickets run $40-$50, depending on where you get them and where you're sitting.

I am interested and I'd like to see it, but at the same time, I'm gnawed by a strange kind of reluctance ... the same kind I get about going to furmeets, actually, just sort of a vague feeling that I'm not allowed to do this kind of thing. I wish I could figure out where that's coming from.

We're going in February. Let me know if you don't get to go - I'll pick up a tape when I'm at the performance, and ask Level_Head to mail it to you.

I tried to buy the tape over a year ago as a Christmas gift for him, but they were unavailable at that time. I'm sure they'll bring a goodly supply to the theatre.

Really looking forward to seeing them. We've seen Kodo (that was a few years ago) and Stomp. Not the same as the Shaolin Monks, of course, but both were great exhibitions of agility in a highly disciplined performance. And entertaining.

Actually, you can get the DVD from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005S6KT/ref=cm_wl_ovu-pg.1-pos.1/103-0057107-3184640?v=glance&coliid=I22529MVFN4YB3&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER), and I may end up doing that regardless of whether or not I go to the show. :) Thanks, tho!

I figure I'll probably make my decision after class tomorrow night.
