I am reminded of sound bite that got dropped into a song: "He's stupid, but he knows he's stupid that almost makes him smart."

Aiming this at middle management and/or general population of your immediate area?

There are so many people around here that it applies to, I don't need to aim it, just light the fuse and RUN! ;)

Fascinating!

Wonder if this "metacognizance deficiencies" idea translates to social circumstance as well as more 'traditional' skill competency areas? Though the means/methodology of the competency to determine social circumstance would be far more convoluted, perhaps there’s a lot of truth in the statements when someone says “You don’t know how well/bad off you really are!”

Thanks much for the link!

I'm way too brainfried to sift through the uber-language of this right now, but I will say I'm a touch disappointed...it started off talking about social skills; I was hoping it was going to be about artists XD (No, not referring to anyone who would be reading this ;-)

This is why I hated filling out self-assessment forms for a former employer, as I told them, that I was too close to what I do to give an accurate assessment. They made me fill it out anyway. Then after my low self-esteem induced review, they would review and revise my marks up. Leaving me thinking, why didn't you just do that before hand?
