That's called "rain out".
And it's because the hose cools off too much as the water vapor travels from the humidifier to your nose.
Wrap the hose in some fleece and that should solve the problem, keeping the hose warm.
And apparently sleep with the CPAP may seem less restful but it supposedly is more restful and we just don't know it.
