Nasty, plastic frosting, yeah.

One thing I really miss about being allergic to coconut is that I can't eat the raspberry-coated Zingers. They weren't just a Cheap Twinkie Knock-Off With Plastic Frosting. Chocolate and Vanilla Zingers -- definitely inferior to Twinkies. Raspberry? Ambrosia.

Well, okay, it's been more than 30 years since I had one, but these days, TWINKIES have lost their appeal, too.

Amusingly, they're both made by the same company now: IBC Brands engulfed and devoured both Hostess and Dolly Madison years ago.

There is a hostess day old bread store on the way to FC from my house. This year, the theme will now be "REVENGE OF THE TWINKIES"...

Hostess bought out Dolly Madison some time back. They say Hostess Zingers now on the package now. I think it's a matter of tasted whether one thinks Zingers arent as good as Twinkies. I love frosting so I prefer Zingers.

For some reason, that packaging option isn't very popular, so Hostess discontinues them fairly quickly whenever they're convinced to try again.
