Kentucky Fried Weekend
Just got back from visiting Mrs. Gneech's family, which is always an interesting trip to another world for me. The best way I can think to describe this is by saying that they are right at home at Cracker Barrel, while I'm more of a Starbucks type. :)
But I'm not totally out-of-touch with my southern country roots*: in Fredericksburg is the only Kentucky Fried Chicken I know of that actually sells chicken livers, which is a delicacy I must have at least once a year. So we stopped there for lunch on our way down yesterday.
It was a beautiful day for the drive back, so we stopped in Richmond to poke around Carytown some. It was nice to see our old stomping grounds bustling and busy on such a nice day. :)
Now ... it's time to setup pre-orders for Attack of the War-Cats. W00t!

*My dad grew up on a farm in Virginia during the depression; my mom was for all intents and purposes Scout Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird.
