Is it any surprise that Stephen Fry writes novel-length blog entries? No, not really.

Is it any surprise that I felt compelled to register and comment to his current entry, about Fame? Shouldn't be.

Will he read the comment? I'd say it's pretty likely.

Will it make an impression on him? My guess would be no.

Still, it's communication, anyway. :)

wow, that's long. I didn't get very far. Can't he just record himself reading it with his yummy voice so I can listen in the car or while walking? I can't get a lick of work done with all this interesting stuff! Fame is an interesting topic indeed. I got at least as far as the "pheme" concept, and the fact that negative fame spreads faster than positive.

Thanks for sharing, at least. I'll be sure to check this some other time.

My goodness, THANK YOU for linking that blog, otherwise I would have been so very ignorant. I started reading, and I just couldn't stop; I'm not sure whether my pleasure in reading it was derived by his wonderful turns of phrase and use of the English language, or the fact that one could almost hear his mellifluous voice speaking aloud the text. Wonderful. And also a good insight into the 'fame' phenomenon that few other people could have penned.
