I miss Furry Art Pile (aka FAP). That was a really well-designed furry art site, which was really starting to get attention... and then the owner decided it was too much work and just took it down, rather than let someone else take over. x.x
I'm curious to see how Blue Taboo does when it comes online. Supposedly it's inspired by ArtSpots' interface, but we'll have to see if it can pick up the kind of volume FA has.
Also, I figure most people prefer browsing fewer art sites than more. The more art sites, blog sites, news sites, comics sites, etc. one checks daily, the more tiring the internet can be.
So, I figure, people are NOT going to go to a new site unless it offers something they want that they cannot get anywhere else.
Another thing I think is very important is that a site makes it easy for me to catch up on anything I've missed if I don't visit it for a few days.
I don't understand the difference. Do you mean messages and submissions are integrated, mixed together in the same catch-up list? If so, is that customizable? What if I prefer them separated?
