Podcastey Snag

Well, it's a good thing I double-checked! My webhosting company specifically forbids streaming media, which includes hosting podcasts. So I have to find a solution for that before we can actually launch. I've looked at Libsyn and Podbean, I'm also going to take a look at Amazon's cloud services.

Anyone have suggestions for other options?

EDIT: Okay! Solution found, at least for the time being. Thanks, all!

I've heard good things about the Amazon cloud. Check their bandwidth rules tho, I think they charge on your bandwidth. Dunno how much it is, could be a couple of pennies per gig, in which case it'd be fine.

But check anyway.

Soundcloud is a favorite for people showing off their songs. Surely a podcast can't be that much different.

Get in touch with [livejournal.com profile] ursulav and see who casts her Kevin and Ursula Eat Cheap weekly podcasts. Or you could ask [livejournal.com profile] halioffirpine (Matthew Ebel), who is at the forefront of musician podcasting. I'm sure both can give you great advice. Tell Matt I sent you. :)
