Randomness!

Random Thing #1!
I suspect that in their heart of hearts, most people who've seen The Blob would agree that this is the best part of the movie.

Random Thing #2!
How NOT to land a Grumman Goose.

Random Thing #3!
The cast of Suburban Jungle randomly started talking to me this morning, particularly Natasha and Tiffany. It wasn't immediately useful, but I'm hoping it's a good sign. :)

Personally, it was that first moment I realized it was cherry or some other pie filling. :) But yeah, that's a groovy song. It's such a non-sequiter for all the screaming.

Actually, I heard once that for most shots, it was a garbage bag with air bladders under it to make it pulsate — they used the jelly goo for shots where it had to splooge through a grate or something similar.

The trailer was the first speech guilty of shouting "BLOB" in a crowded theater. They actually encouraged the stampede.

The 50s were crazy. The Tingler actually wired the seats in the theatre to freak the audience into stampeding too.

Well, I hope they started by explaining what they were doing in your house.

Though I can see why that wouldn't make the most exciting comic strip.

On Random #1 - Bennie has this in his playlist. It comes up a lot. It also sneaks up on me in the oddest of places. Best example: Walgreen's, late one night near Christmas, in the middle of the tape of carols and other Christmas songs they play. Buh???

I've always wondered why a horror movie had such a pleasant mambo number as its opening tune.

Silly bugger in #2 didnt check to see if his floats were in the down and LOCKED position.

Although, when you hear the engine spin down, doesnt it just remind you of the Millenium Falcon on Hoth when it wouldn't start?
