Sketch-A-Day: Baloo vs. a Box o' Stuff [artwork]

An attempt to draw Baloo on-model but in an original pose. I'm not sure where the idea of having him look doubtfully into a "Box O' Stuff" came from, but it works. :)



I'm actually pretty satisfied overall, except that his toes are too large (his feet should be tiny little hemispheres to be on-model) and there's something not-quite-right about the placement of his right arm that I can't put my finger on.

The character model has pretty short, stout biceps. i think the angle you have it at suggests a much longer upper arm than on the left side.

Then again, the character was always very humerous.

I think his cheek ruff ought to be a little more round and full, as well. It looks a bit more like drezzer's

Ja, I think that's it. His elbow needs to come up.
