Here in LJ I can TALK to people, comments roll into discussions, there is interaction not just noise.
Um, you can do that on Facebook, too. It's just that most "posts" on FB are short ones, and people reply to those to start conversations; whereas LJ posts tend to be longer and more in-depth (what FB would consider a "Note" posting).
