If possible, what you really should do is try to gather up any old media or important-sounding citations and have your readers put together a deletionproof article for The Suburban Jungle.
One night last year, some of my well-meaning readers in the Erfworld IRC channel started a Rob Balder article. It was nominated for notability deletion within hours, of course. I hadn't tried to get one up there because I knew it would be.
But once they did it, I was like "screw this, I'll find you notability citations that meet all their gamed, petty criteria" and they put together a bulletproof page. It's annoying, but with a few traditional newspapers or notable online sources, it can be done.
