Well, the seller of the game was very kind to inform me that the format was not compatible with US X-Boxes and is sending me a refund.

Format differences are evil and should die. This is the same #*@&$ reason I don't have DangerMouse on DVD. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Who was the shithead?

Right now, there's only one thing that could cheer me up a little, and that's detailed skeletal studies of cartoon characters. I always wondered what Hello Kitty's skull looked like...

Every once in a while I do a websearch on "Gneech" to see what comes up. As identifiers go, it's pretty unique, so I usually find relevant results quickly.

As always, the top hit is an anti-Micro$oft rant I did long ago on my old AOL homepage -- because that got linked on all the other anti-Micro$oft rant pages at the time. It sorta burns me up that the thing I'm most widely quoted for is something I probably wouldn't write today, but them's the breaks.

Fortunately, most of the other hits were related to Suburban Jungle, or more rarely NeverNever. Most of them were simply links, but I did find a few bits of commentary I hadn't encountered before, including a page of less than enthusiastic reviews, le sigh! I was very surprised that the people on said page who had anything nice to say, said they loved the art. That's backwards, you silly people! The page did have a nice gush by [livejournal.com profile] rhanlav, tho, so it's all good. ;)

The rest of the references are my signature on message boards. Apparently, I'm quite the chatterbox.

"I sometimes wonder," Greg hazarded, "if nobody gets my jokes because they're too obscure, or if they just aren't that funny."

"Don't sell yourself short," Brigid replied. "There's no reason they can't be both."

"You know," he said, "I think I might miss you if you went away for a long time. Why don't you try it so I can find out?"

Dangfraggin' LJ ate my first attempt to post this, but we'll try again.

First, from [livejournal.com profile] kheetor84: I don't know anyone like this. At all. So if you think I'm referring to you, you're WRONG! Wrong, I tell you!

Second, from [livejournal.com profile] linguaphiles: Vince, this one's for you, even though it doesn't have Transformers or anything of that sort.

Third, does everyone remember when [livejournal.com profile] bauske pointed me to Milk and Cereal? Well now there's an Asian version. Is it a cover? A remake? Something wholly other? Once again the question of why the guy on the left has no shirt is left unaddressed.

That's all for now. But keep reading, I'm sure I'll find some more stuff to post here, if only because I care.

I did not accomplish anything this evening; I watched Star Trek with [livejournal.com profile] lythandra and played on the X-Box. I stomped Tokyo as Godzilla, stomped Rodians as Obi-Wan, and stomped giant spiders in Baldur's Gate.

I needed a night off. I do too much.

Tomorrow, I'll go back to accomplishing stuff. My only regret, is that I missed Kung Fu. But there's always Friday or Saturday morning.

If I had a decent rec room, I could practice Kung Fu at home. As it is, I can barely navigate the hallways in this tiny place.

And now, I'm off to bed.
