Quis Tradiet Ipsos Magistri?*
Jun. 23rd, 2009 11:01 amI get to create and teach a course in HTML here at work so various contract people can do some of their own webpage scudwork and leave us programmers time to do actual programming ... at least in theory.
It should be fun! :) I always enjoy a chance to break out of the cubicle and show off a bit.
Of course, I first have to finish the current project that's sitting on my head and crushing it; but that should happen within the next day or so (finally). By comparison, coming up with course curricula will be like a breath of fresh air!

*I was aiming for "Who teaches the teachers?" Y'know, like "Who watches the watchmen?" … It's been 20 years since I took Latin. Be kind.

Spooky Adventure Games, Revisited
Jun. 23rd, 2009 02:36 pm"Haunted: The Lost Soul" — A nice, spooky old-school adventure game, as cheap as free. Very short and occasionally plagued by bad English, but suitably creepy. It took me about an hour and a half to play and was just the sort of thing I've been looking for. Hint: Don't go into the secret room unless the tape recorder is playing.
