Clever Spam, But Still Baleeted

So my various blog/comic sites get a lot of spam comments. A lot of spam comments. I think, however, this may be the first one that actually broke the fourth wall:

Howdy, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it's driving me mad so any help is very much appreciated.

Clever, spammer. Only the fact that you attempted to put your comment on the SJ cast page (no real person comments on something like that), and that your name included "online meds" in it tipped me off that you were a big ol' lying liar of a liar.

For that, you simply get two bullets to the head, instead of the slow death of being slowed gnawed to pieces by penguins.
