I admit I was curious about 13th Age until the whole "psychic" thing came up, and then it became a hard pass. >.> I just cannot even with psychic/psionic rules -- it's way too weird, often unbalanced as heck, and just doesn't feel like that much fun to me. Granted, given these orcs only do psychic damage on a crit I guess that's one thing. Is there some kind of thing about the setting that might possibly explain all of these weird powers? Like, this is a world saturated with wild magic, so each monster/species has some kind of weird effect?
