My application to Yerf was rejected yesterday, without comment. Apparently I'm not yerfy enough? -TG

...They didn't even offer suggestions? Hm. Guess they're getting lazy. Eh... they rejected me too, but at least they offered help. I think they're becoming overrated. Like Elfwood. (Which I have manymanymany very strong opinions about..) yeh.. *goes to shut up before she goes off on that whole Elfwood rant..*

Too be honest I don't think that being rejected from Yerf means anything these days. May as well, keep on using your own website, have your own rules and not have anyone tell you what is allowed and what isn't allowed.

Mainly as I feel in my heart that beats off pure honest inspiration on a persons work.

Well, that's how I feel on it anyways. *shrugs* Mabbe that's why I never or will not apply to them at all.

Huh?!?

Huh?!? If Yerf rejected your works, nuts to them.

If you have pictures lying around that you want people to see, why not set up a link from the SJ and NN webpages? You won't have the restrictions that Yerf puts on, and you'll have more ability to set it up the way you want.

Yerf rejects a lot..

And they are style police, too.. by the gods, don't have your work look like anyone elses... :)

*shakes head* I never understood how Yerf worked; they claim to have such high standards but some of the stuff I've seen there is worse than what I draw (and that's saying quite a bit considering mine are barely removed from stick figures). Don't let it get to you. You're better off maintaining your own website so that you can display what you want and set your own rules.

Well, the only reasons I wanted to post to Yerf particularly, was for the exposure, and the automation. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] katayamma, I have RumblePurrLion.com (http://www.rumblepurrlion.com) which is slated to have a furry art site ... someday ... but that all has to be built, and I'm ... y'know ... dealing with stuff. :)

Oh well. Like I say, it's no big deal ... Yerf ranks very low on my list of concerns. :) But thanks for the encouragement nonetheless! :) -TG
