Yeah. I saw that two days ago, and was about floored.
*sigh*
I can only imagine what the PA forums were like... A lot of online comic viewers are furries, and I know quite a few that read PA, like I do.

Well, this is probably why I like Suburban Jungle & Never Never more than PA anyways.

Hope ya feel better soon Gneech.

Well, I went over and looked ... there's some mighty evil people over there. I think I'll avoid it like the plague. -TG

I feel fine, thanks! :) In fact, I think I'll go draw Tiffany some today, just to annoy them! ;) -TG

Yes... we demand more smoldering cheetah temptresses! Or Tigresses in this case. :D

Woo! Oh, can we get a walk-in by Mopsy? She needs something to do while NN's on the back burner. Please? *insert big innocent smile here*

I think it's more of a reaction to the overly sexual stuff, and the MTV image of 'furries'. For me, doing 'furry' stuff is more like the whole 'fable' aspect. You use certain animal types to say things about a character; their personality, etc.

So I don't let it bother me. That's all 'furry' is to me, is a form of expression. Some people don't dig that, probably in many cases due to misconceptions. That's fine with me though; there are things I don't care for too.

And I'll still read Penny Arcade; I just don't always laugh at it.

And really, 'Something Awful' is consistantly harsher in its satire of 'furries' than anything else I've seen. I read that pretty regularly too, and often laugh at the 'furry' satire. Again, plenty of it refers to the overly sexual content, and/or people who take it a little too seriously. I do think it's a great form of expression, and it can be fun to fantasize and picture myself as 'Rae' or one of my other characters. There are times too, when I feel that I identify more with wolves, etc. than I do with humans. --I don't need a 'reality-check' though. I know 'furry' ain't real - and I wouldn't go through surgery to make myself look like one, nor would I build a 'fursuit'. I'm ok with what I am, and what I am is human.

Rhan'lav: "Woo! Oh, can we get a walk-in by Mopsy? She needs something to do while NN's on the back burner. Please? *insert big innocent smile here*"

I suspect that I agree with the intent, but don't put much credence in the innocence of that smile. ;)

Nevertheless, Mopsy in Tiffany's universe is hard to explain.

Perhaps a once-per-month, strip-or-few update of Never Never along the lines of Sabrina? Then The Gneech would have (and be able to claim) continuous production, without the necessity of banging one out several times per week.

It also allows the "rhythm" to change, as you don't have to have the gag at the end of each four-panel or three-panel strip.

And if it was one strip one month, and six another, why I think we'd be pretty happy with the fact that the world is continuing to turn at all.

Just thinking aloud...
