I don’t know about that birthday song’s origin... The first time I heard it was on the Saturday morning cartoon “Garfield and Friends,” in which Binky the Clown comes to Jon’s house to wish Garfield a happy birthday. (And yes, there was a pie thrown!)

Marie Callendar rocks. Everything made with that label on it is delicious.

my teenage years were spent in eastern Ventura County, and we would troop to a Marie Callendar's in the Valley for frisco burgers and in my case, butterscotch pie. I have to drive down to Blossom Hill (20 miles from my house) and preorder it now---you just can't walk in and buy it---and if you don't tell 'em to add the whipped cream, they'll stick friggin MERINGUE on it...(grin)...

I also keep 2 or 3 frozen Fettucine Alfredo dinners stashed for emergency purposes...the downside is that they have 900 CALORIES in em....we won't discuss the fat content....MLD
