Anyway! Tonight I went to Kung Fu, after sorta slinking around and hiding from it for a week. When I went back on 3/12, the class knocked me down, pummelled me about the head and neck, and stole my wallet -- figuratively speaking. So as you might guess, I wasn't exactly keen to go back. But I'm not going to give up on it, so that meant that I pretty much had to go tonight.
Fortunately, I survived. In fact, for the most part, I did pretty well by my own scale of achievement. By the end of it I had sweat pouring down my face and into my eyes -- not ordinary sweat either, oh no -- that "metallic-tang deep-fat-burning sweat that smells like somebody about to pass out" sweat ... whoof. *collapses at the memory* Worn out as I was, I did notice (and appreciate!) that the daily pushups and crunches I've been doing every morning really did make a difference. I lasted longer, my form was better, and I had more endurance when various muscle groups started crying "No more, please no more!"
Then, after a quick dinner, I finally FINISHED a commish that's been lurking around my to-do list since October or so. I can't announce it to the world yet (it's a surprise for somebody), but I'm pleased with it, not only because of how the pic came out, but also because there's a certain amount of celebrity involved, andmeowzaroonie will tell you what an awful name-dropper I am. ;) I'll show it off when I can. :)
Meanwhile, it's way too late for me to still be up, so I'm heading off to bed. G'nite, all, and have a better tomorrow than you were expecting!
