Let's Get Ready to RRrrrrumble!!! (Purr)

It's Friday! It's payday! I've got more ideas for stuff to work on than I'll ever have time to do!

The SJ tip jar has certainly paid off, which is at once a tremendous ego boost and an amazingly humbling experience. On the big scale of things it's not huge -- it certainly wouldn't pay the rent -- but it's already made more by itself than all the prints I've sold put together.

I don't expect the donations to continue at this level, of course, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can. So far I've used to pay for membership into Kell's Angels (which reminds me of an idea I've been wanting to play with ... I'll have to work on that some soon). I am hoping to put the rest towards the creation of t-shirts later. I still want to do that, hobby or no hobby!

According to Richmond.com, the Anime Mid-Atlantic Convention is this weekend! I wish I'd known about this before yesterday. I'll probably try to arrange for Laurie and I to go down there Sunday, if I can convince her to go. Richmond is practically in my own backyard, and I can always use an excuse to go down there. I went to college there, met Laurie there, and have a lot of fond memories of the place.

Tonight, I need to either finish this pic I've been working on for T'Chall, or ink Monday's SJ. Both would be preferable, but I'm sure there's going to be a Hanta-and-family visit in there, which will pretty much prevent getting much more than that accomplished. Saturday night, jamesbarrett is going to run his D&D game, and sometime on the weekend I ought to take my dad out to dinner -- so the weekend is going to be stretched pretty tight! But I don't want any of it to slip between the cracks!

Aaaaieee!!!

*ahem* Okay, let's calm down a bit, here. :)

If things end up too stressed, I can lose the anime con -- I'm going to Dragon*Con in September, after all, and I'm sure they'll have all the anime I can eat. I may have to do that, actually, and spend Sunday working on getting commissions out the door and strips drawn. I don't want to lose the momentum and energy I've built up over the past week.

Aieee! Didn't know about it till just now... and I'd already sent out the message to the Chesapeake Bay Bears club that I am seeking a ride to Baltimore Pride for the weekend... ah well. Bears are nice too... ;)

I want to go to an anime convention but I keep finding out about them just too late.

*Sigh* Nothing interesting ever happens in Spokane. The only Con we have is the Christian Worker's Convention, and while I do qualify as a Christian Worker, I just don't feel like going down and getting preached at from 1,001 different booths. (And the nearest city that *DOES* have Cons is 300 miles away. The curse of living in the West-- we are isolated by those incredibly beautiful vast open spaces.

Hope the weekend is fun for you. This is your first full week, right? Well, enjoy the two days off. You've earned them. :)
