Here's a new piece I did today. I was trying for a more realistic approach than my usual cartoony style. I figure that broadening my skill range can only be a good thing. :)

Date: 2002-01-19 04:28 pm (UTC)I think the one thing that's nagging at me about it is that front neck line. Maybe I'm wrong. I also am somewhat glad that I am not the only one who has problems drawing noses. Something for both of us to study some more, eh? Or maybe, subconsciously, we want to put a muzzle on there instead. ;)

Date: 2002-01-19 07:35 pm (UTC)Actually, I have found some really good pens for inking in drawings. (I got tired of my Micron pens blurring and smudging my drawings.) Penstix India Drawing Ink have been really good/reliable. They make pretty good, clean lines. If you get the 0.7mm ones, you can get some pretty thick lines, or you can opt for 0.1mm if you want thinner. I've been using them for my comics to go over the pencil lines.
Pens are actually not that bad to draw in, (I've even resorted to ball-point pens.) It just takes some getting used to.
