Tonight's viewing selection was more Trigun followed by the first half of Margaret Rutherford in Murder, Most Foul. Trigun was, well, more of the same ... and I'm rapidly tiring of it. Wolfwood had his big episode, whoop-de-do, and now each episode is just "set up a Gung Ho Gun, and knock 'em down, while Vash blubbers." No plot, no interest, no point.

Man, for something that started out such a bright surprise, it's really starting to let me down. -.- But there's not that much of the series left, so I'm going to push on through to the end. Maybe something good will happen before then.

Anyway, enough about that! Have some numbers!

Rows: 3 mins @ 55 lbs (warmup)
Flat Barbell Bench Press: 1 set 10 reps @ 90 lbs
Narrow Pulldowns: 1 set 10 reps @ 65 lbs
Triceps Pushdown: 1 set 10 reps @ 50 lbs
Bench Press: 1 set 10 reps @ 70 lbs
Seated Lat Rows: 1 set 10 reps @ 45 lbs
Rear Deltoid Rows: 1 set 10 reps @ 45 lbs
Chest Fly: 1 set 10 reps @ 45 lbs
Deadlift: 1 set 10 reps @ 45 lbs
Military Press: 2 sets 10 reps @ 30 lbs
Gungbu / Long Stance: 2 mins ea. side
Rows: 3 mins @ 35 lbs (cooldown)

Body Weight: 297 lbs

And on to tomorrow ... for tomorrow is another day!

Hey Gneech! Gneech! Guess what! I saw V for Vendetta today. And ya know what, ya know what?

...

Stephen Fry's got a bent nose. It's like 45 degrees off plumb!

You haven't noticed???

(The actual point I'm making is that I hadn't noticed until now. I saw the movie on an IMAX screen, and there are several ponderous closeups of Stephen Fry, blowing his nose up to like ten feet wide or something, giving me plenty of time to stare at it and wonder: has it always been like that?)

Trigun's worth it, but you do need to stick it through a lot of the "much of the same crap" stuff. Once you get to the end it's better. Although you gotta be prepared for more Vash-blubbering.

Alas, the preview for the next episode (which is the next-to-last episode) was full of blubbering, so I'm pretty much expecting the next episode to be a 28-minute blubbertastic marathon of Vash-whine.

Yeah, sadly, it does get like that through most of the later stuff. Its depressing. Thats probably why I don't like most of the second half of the anime. Its just really depressing. So much better stuff comes later on near the end. Next to the last episode is like the worst of the bunch, and then you get the last episode, which is so much better because its not all well... like most of the second half of the series.

You're almost there. Depending on which Wolfwood episode you mean, you're probably near or on the last disk then. I think...
