In the past several days, I've written a short story, come up with a dozen strips, drawn about half of those, created a Keenspot newsbox, drew yesterday's chick, run a session of D&D, driven through a snowstorm, brainstormed with Vince for the SJ/TCM crossover, watched the deluxe edition DVD of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (with the "Subtitles for People Who Don't Like the Film" option turned on), attempted to kill brewing flamewars and topic drift in the SJ forum, and I'm sure I've done other stuff that I've forgotten.

I am, as they say, pooped.

I still have a bunch of stuff to do before FC, not the least of which is send off resumes for this week, but also do more drawing, come up with a few notes for the panels I'm going to be on at FC, and do all of my last-minute arrangements.

It's 1:34 a.m. on Sunday night; I leave for California in the early early a.m. of Thursday ... gonna be a heck of a week. Forgive me if my posts become thin, folks. :)

I like "Life of Brian" better. =3
D&D? Haven't played that in a year or two. My DM was pure evil probably because he didn't like having my characters being weres.
"The little 5-year-old girl pulls out her bow of PC slaying.."
BTW, which is your favorite monster? (Mine is the Will-o'-wisp.)
What exactly is a flame war? (Forgive my lack of wired education, I never learned. What good is school if you don't learn the important things?)

"Flame Wars"

Neko,

A "flame war" is when two, or more, posters go at it in a public forum. It may start out as a friendly disagreement, but then it turns nasty with name calling and such. The thread on the SJ board about the "Newbie Attack on Sinfest" was starting to change into a flame war. That's why the Gneech locked that thread.

I believe that was the first time he had to lock a thread due to a possible flame war.

I hope this answers your question.

I'm jealous you got to game. I'm a gamer afloat without a gaming community. It's starting to bug me.

I'm glad you have gotten over artist's block. Art is so much more fun when you don't have to push it to work on it.

I don't think the flamewar would have gotten anywhere. The furs in SJ are just not quite that type, except for maybe Greyeyes...I went to the site in question and was clearly turned off by the prospect of "playing" with those folks. Fighting for what's right is one thing...Slapping a sign on yourself that says "kick me" is quite another.

Wish you luck on the FurCon biz. And I send out general good wishes on everyone's job hunts. Maybe you all find jobs that you can handle, and may they pay what you can live on.

I'm glad you put "may they pay what you can live on", but I doubt they'd pay me $1,000/hr. ;=3

Now if you had put "pay you what you're worth", then I'd have to pay them that $1,000/hr. :=3 (J/K)

I don't think anyone ever gets what they are worth. I am strictly against working for a living...(I have a sugar daddy. ;)) because life is too short and there's nothing in this world that could persuade me that working for less than $10/hr is worth what little energy I seem to have. Now, if I *had* to work...I could. But I don't have to, so I don't. :)
