Alas and Alack
Apr. 7th, 2006 03:26 pmThose of you who know
pholph probably know that he's gearing up to leave this wretched hive of scum and villainy known as the D.C. metropolitan area for the wilds of the west, reuniting him with his beloved
pocket_entropy and generally making their lives sunshine and roses once again. :)
For them, I am happy. For our gaming group, on the other hand, I am sad, for after his (likely) farewell session tomorrow, we're back down to three players plus GM. Certainly not a disaster on the level of New Orleans being washed off the map, but a nuisance nonetheless. That fourth player (assuming they're a good player) always adds just the right amount of zing (IMO) to make a game really work.
pholph was particularly good in this regard, as he was always happy and eager to take whatever the scenario handed him and run with it.
So, back to searching for another player I go. We're looking for somebody who's more or less adult (college is fine, but I suspect anyone younger than that would probably clash), preferably interested in a variety of campaign genres, and able to get to Centreville 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday nights. If said person was also interested in GMing, that would be a major bonus (
jamesbarrett and I tradeoff GM duties most of the time, but except at conventions we never get to both be players at the same time).
Anybody vaguely in the neighborhood looking for a group?

Date: 2006-04-07 10:04 pm (UTC)I wish I could GM for you. If you and your team of miscreants could create some characters for the league in this area, it'd be a nice Get Out Of Hell Free (for a weekend?) trip up here to Albany to play in the league. I know I kept throwing links at you.

Yeah, live is better, and I'd like to play - but y'all live in another kingdom.
