At last report, Kaiser gave my dad some antibiotics for bronchitis and were running more tests today. Their theory about his dizziness and peculiar night-time behavior is that his lungs may not be processing enough oxygen for his brain. 0.o It doesn't help that my dad is so, er, "eccentric" that when you ask him a straightforward question like "How are you?" he'll say, "I'm completely out of my head," and you can't tell if he means it or if he's just goofing around.

Anyway, my Aunt Kay's funeral will be on Tuesday; my sister is arranging a post-ceremony get-together at Red Lobster rather than my mom's initial suggestion of "their house" -- not really feasible for more than, say, four people. (My parents are stressed enough as it is without trying to squeeze a bunch of extended family members into their house anyway.)

I'm a bit stressed myself, as you might guess, but better now than I was yesterday afternoon. Is it con yet?

my mom suffered simaler issues when she got a bad pnumonia infection the issue with her heart asserbated the situation thus her brain didnt recive enough oxygen to form any new memory engrams she lost 2 weeks asking me in the bed where ami and i must be really sick prior to that she thought two green crt monitors at the nurses station were the eyes of a dragon looking over the counter at her

Your father sounds a lot like my grandmother. A few years ago, she had a bladder infection, fell, and hit her head. The only reason we knew something was wrong was that she was acting normal.

I do have something that might help you feel better.

Check into something called sleep apnea. Its essentially where you stop breathing at night and your body keeps going into emergency for the lungs to work mode. Symptoms include being tired general body aches that seem to have no cause and a few other things. Its pretty easy to check for too. Just have someone stay up for 2 hours or so while he sleeps in the same room and listen for sudden forced breath like gasping for air,
