I just discovered today that the Player's Handbook II that's out this month includes a boatload of acrobatics and archery feats. 0.o

Also, apparently there's a feat somewhere in Complete Warrior called "Combat Archery" that protects you from AoO's when using bows in melee ... how could I have missed that?

EDIT: Oh, that's how ... it's an Epic feat. Le sigh!

There's also, it seems, a ton of archery feats in Races of the Wild, presumably to go with the info on elves. Able Sniper, baby!

I love being pandered to. ^.^ I just wish I'd known it was happening before I put so much work into my character already.

It's an additional, as was the (very good) Dungeon Master's Guide II that came out last year. I haven't seen it yet, but I have high hopes. :)

The PHBII for PHBs is not as good as the DMGII was for DMGs, but its still nice. I talked about it a little in one of my previous LJ posts about Telling Blow, the uber cool feat that'll double my damage of critical hits, effectively. ^_^

Not sure about the others though, but there are a few decent feats for archery in the PHBII, but some are crossbow related, so those might not be as useful for you. But I'm sure there are a few good ones at least. And that Complete Warrior feat? Yeah, go get that. It sounds useful. ^_^

Jeez...I remember hearing something about D&D3e being about cutting out the kruft of extra books that sprung up in AD&D.

I am saddened by the return of "complete" books... I remember collecting the 2nd edition ones, having a 2 foot tall stack of brown books to tote around ;)

Depends on who you ask; for me the whole point of 3E was "a ruleset that made sense." :) As long as every "non-core" book is 100% optional, they can keep coming up with all the splatbooks they want as far as I'm concerned -- although I'd much rather they did modules instead.

Which means he's gonna have to knock heads with the party thief-equivalent and elven paragon for the one they just won in a dungeon room.

And the Epic ones you can rule out for the 'near future' at the very least. Attack Bonus of +21? Maybe if you're a fighter at 21st level perhaps.
