Our back-arrow is just plain dying. So which is better, all you DDRnicks? Buy flimsy pads and go through them like water, or buy the pricey metal pads?

We bought the pricey metal pads...can look up the brand if you like. They were top o' the line when they came out, $200 or so...they were crap. They bent and they cracked and I've had better luck with the nice collapsible soft pads with replaceable foam centres.

Blah! :)

That's what we've got too, I think. On both of them, the back arrow died within a week. -.-

After about nine soft pads of varying types, I finally got the very spendy Cobalt Flux. It's served me well for well over a year now.

VERY pricey Gneech.... but as close as you're going to get to an arcade set up without actualy buying a DDR machine. Figure $299 each plus shipping..and the $19.95 arcad mod kit is a good idea. Grat pad though, not troubles with mine, and I'm close to your weight.
