I have always found the Wiki article on Furs to be refreshingly non-antaganistic, it seems to be a relatively non-biased view of the fandom, I espessially like the part at the very begining of the article where it says "Due to previous vandalism, editing of this article by anonymous or newly registered users is disabled (see semi-protection policy). Such users may discuss changes, request unprotection, or create an account."
As for Dork tower, I find it a good-natured satire, here Matt has spent the length of the entire panel griping to the attractive woman about how she will judge him, then does exactly that at the end, I wouldn't say this is poking fun at furs, I would say the opposite, that it's saying people don't give furs a chance, and the writer is making fun of that automatic response "furs = bad"
