If you can, grab the first three GG books, they're a decent story arc that ends on a good note. However, if you get the first 4 books, you'll have caught up to the GG Webcomic archives. Tho, as long as you're getting the first 4, you could pick up all 5, it's worth the investment as the story is most excellent.
