Wonder if this "metacognizance deficiencies" idea translates to social circumstance as well as more 'traditional' skill competency areas? Though the means/methodology of the competency to determine social circumstance would be far more convoluted, perhaps there’s a lot of truth in the statements when someone says “You don’t know how well/bad off you really are!”
