Is she firing caseless ammo? I don't see any brass getting ejected from what is obviously an automatic of some sort. :)

I should prolly point out that I like the picture, too. I wouldn't want the only thing I say to be some negative bit of nitpickery. :) You put too much work into it.

Besides, the gun could have jammed, not ejecting the cartridge.

Actually, the gun is intended to be a Colt .45, with the picture occurring just as the muzzle moves forward and the hammer falls. Strictly speaking, the cartridge isn't ejected until the muzzle cycles backward, so it shouldn't be visible yet.

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Ahh, when I first looked at it, I thought the hammer had re-cocked (yes, thats a word). But if it's a Colt then it has the exposed hammer for manual (single pull) operation.

Yup, the good ol' classic 1911. :) (Actually, I think the ref. I used was actually a 1911A, but I'm not sure what the differences are.)

But by all means, don't stop doubting! It keeps me honest. :)
