Item the First...
A cool person with a brain in charge of a big government agency? Obviously there's something very wrong somewhere!

Item the Second...
Eddie Ape could stand a Toon Up, but I don't seem to have any good reference materials. I can go rent Disney's Tarzan, but does anybody else have any good suggestion for a source of animated apes?

Item the Third...
For some reason, I am inexplicably perky and relatively content with my life today. I like it ... but I'm so very not used to it! I can't help but wonder where it came from.

That's all for now. Catcha later!

*grins* Do you get Boomerang on cable?

Try peeking at the Grape Ape or Magilla Gorilla - classic Hanna Barbera characters. Other than that, you've got Tarzan, and - believe it or not - Andross from StarFox. :)

That's about all I know of directly - look foreward to seeing the new designs, I do. :)

1> Wow, nifty. That is strange.

2> Well, you have 3 choices really TG. Tarzan, the old animated Planet of the Apes, or watch some politicians on C-Span. ;) They seem sort of poorly animated in that last one though. :P

3> Oh no! You've got a bad case of... BOOGIE FEVER! Uh... hmmm. I suggest you shake your groove thing... Or not.

--Rhan, who's got this wierd sense of humor going on today.

I got this DVD on Drawing Animals, and the guy's rather obsessed with apes. He does at least 15 ape drawings when doing his demonstrations of gesture study.

(I ought to unpack that, and get out my sketchbook...)

Rudy Park has a pet ape that shows up sometimes. Search the archives.

While you're at Shlockbuster renting "Tarzan," be sure to pick up a copy of "The Jungle Book" too (the original Disney cartoon, not any of the recent remakes).

um, old "Speed Racer" episodes? (just kidding on that one.)

Old Super Friends episodes where they had the one bad guy who was a evil gorilla from a lost civilization in Africa? I forgot his name.
The gorilla in Cats don't Dance?
Fluffy from Bionic 6?

Could you perhaps be speaking of Gorilla Grodd? One of my favorite Flash villians. Has mind control, if I remember correctly. Just got some DC booster packs for the new Heroclix game, and the first figure I pulled out? Gorilla Grodd. Yeeeaaaahhhh..

I'd send him to you, Gneech, but he doesn't look at all cartoony, and I've only the one thus far.

Weren't there any apes in "Kimba" or the other cartoon we used to watch at your place, where it's Kimba grown up?
