Unusably Funny Ideas

the_gneechI have a funny idea.
That's not rare, by any means. I have funny ideas all the time. That's one reason I became a cartoonist.
Alas, I don't have a good use for this funny idea. I thought about trying to base a Fictionlet on it, but the idea, while funny, requires such a peculiar set of circumstances that I'd have to spend a lot more space setting up the idea than would make it funny. Not quite a shaggy dog story, but close enough.
It's not really right for SJ or NN either, although due to the exchange rate of "1 picture = 1,000 words" it would probably work well as a single-panel cartoon. Or as a running gag in a comic novel or short story.
So into the moleskine it goes!
