And yet, as you said, Shirley just rocks it from one side to the other.
There's a good reason for it, though: She's got class, which is such a rare thing in today's music scene. In this video she seems to be giving the young Liza Minelli a run for her money.

Strange song for her to cover, though I like the way she sounds embarrassed to sing "You'll be kissing my ass". Amazing she still has that powerful voice after 50 years. A UK national treasure.
