Saw it, 'twas good. :) Not a whole lot to say about it really, just "If you like Indiana Jones, you'll like this movie." It does have a noticeably different feel from the others, due to different time period, different story focus, etc. Mutt was a cool addition; the script was a bit muddled. But Indy was Indy and adventure happened, so we're good.

References to "Young Indiana Jones" having actually happened and being part of the continuity are not welcome. But the rest was fine. :)

*grins* me too

And seeing as they did DO Young Indiana Jones, it probably would have been folly to pretend they didn't - or ignore it.

Overall I give it 4 thumbs up outta 5

It was as Monseuir Gneech says, definitely an Indiana Jones movie.

I've now seen it twice.

I like Ike.

I enjoyed the in joke tributes to Sean Connery.

Yeah... the Indy's becoming his Dad thing worked well :)

I found the 'knife to a gun fight' line a humorous tribute as well.

So would you recommend it as a "MUST SEE MOVIE"?

No, not a "must see movie," but a "you'll probably enjoy it movie". :)

I dunno, from the reviews that I read, the fan-bois weren't too impressed by it. >_>

Well, the fan-bois are kinda justified in their 'sneering'. From reading the numerous reviews, most of them mentioned what most of the fan-bois feared... that the technology used to make Indiana Jones yadda yadda yadda Crystal Skull (that title NEEDS to be shortened) was not the same technology used to make the first three: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade.

I read Speilberg employed the use of computer grapics, not to mention George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic studio, thus by taking away from the grittiness that the first three Indy movies had, like that real giant boulder chasing Indiana Jones, as seen in the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the old rope bridge that he slashed and cut in the ending of Temple of Doom, and that tank falling off the cliff in the Last Crusade (that fight scene where he pummeled that Nazi dude while on the tank was WIN!), that was a miniature.

So while I'm a bit skeptical in seeing this 4th movie, I guess I WILL have to see it just to put my fan-boi to rest.
