Verily, I Am a Geek
Jul. 21st, 2008 09:38 amI am entirely too pleased that this weekend I put the final touches on the ruleset for my mystery/horror campaign, officially named it, created a character sheet, and even put up a rudimentary website:
Uncanny Midnight Tales
The next steps will be to send the Player's Guide through one more pass of editing, then put it into layout. Then will come a bit more development of Madison, VA and a few other bits of source material and writing up of stats for the initial scenario. Once that's done, it'll be character creation time and the campaign will be ready to go! I'm jazzed. :)
In other news,
lythandra and I saw Get Smart on Sunday and quite enjoyed it. Plus, I gotta say, I got a bit wibbley when I saw the dedication to Don Adams and Edward Platt.

Date: 2008-07-21 02:00 pm (UTC)I think you'll be pleased — almost all of my concerns that they were going to turn Max into "the dumbell who saves the day" and generally screw around with things were unfounded. And I won't give away spoilers, but there's a great cameo by Bill Murray as Agent 13 and a few other familiar faces that you'll just have to wait to see! :D

Date: 2008-07-21 02:06 pm (UTC)The GS mailing-list is expressing mixed feelings, with more disliking than liking it so far - but that just makes me more impatient to see it for myself. And ooh! Bill Murray!
