Greg raised himself to his full height, cleared his throat, and announced, "'The Streets of San Francisco' is sponsored by Martini and Rossi Asti Spumante, and will return after these messages."

Brigid shook her head. "I do wish you'd stop trying to beat me up with my own childhood," she said.

"Riuniti on ice? That's nice," Greg replied.

o.O;

Okay, I don't get this one at all. That's probably a good thing though.

Not part of my childhood either. No accent on Spumante though :)

No? Hmm. I went by phonetics there. I'll pull it off then. :)

It makes a lot of sense, actually. But only to those who experienced early 1970's television in the early 1970's, when The Streets of San Francisco was originally broadcast. I'm not certain if the commercials fit the time exactly (it's been a while and I was rather young at the time) but they certainly feel like they'd fit right in for early 1970's prime time. I rather doubt Brigid desires the flashback, however.

Ah. I see. Sorry, born in '75, so I only caught the tail end of stuff.

At least now I know. And knowing is half the battle.

(Rob) You didn't get this one, did you? (/Rob)

(Bucky) He couldn't "get it" if you hit him over the head with a hammer. Which reminds me...(/Bucky)

(Rob) Whatever it is, Buck, no. (/Rob)

Certs with retsin! Two, two, two mints in one!

I just can imagine her reaction if Greg started singing about how he can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and never, ever let her forget she's a man. o.O

I've heard of the Streets of San Fransisco, though I'd never watched it.

However I have played The Streets of Sim City (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streets_of_SimCity)
