What's sad is that Ford are well regarded in Europe for making some good cars and vans. But the US division refuse to sell the Europe division's vans in the US, and will only sell 're-designed for America' versions of the cars.
Hopefully the car czar will be able to tell htem all to raise the prices on their monster SUVs (hey, profit!) and have a series hybrid diesel on the road in 2 years or he'll have their bollucks.
One of the big 3 already has one here, and they do make them in North America. I think it's Ford. But... they only sell it to Mexico. Wah Wah Waaaaaaaaahhhh!
It's all my fault, since I've never bought a new car. I've only bought used, or been given used cars. So, I've done nothing to support the Big 3, except for the money I give the dealerships for repairs. Does that count?
Oh well, like it's the public's fault they have no trust in the Big 3 after all the crappy cars they released in the 80s? Blah. Trust me, I owned an AMC Concorde, '81. Ask me how great and reliable it was. Or my '83 Ford Futura.
