Well, after last night's festivities, I crashed like a bad hard drive[1] and didn't get up until noon today ... which means I didn't get tomorrow's strip to Hikaru before 6:00 p.m. or so, and there's been no sign of him since then, so I went ahead and colored it myself.

However, having used the last of my day's energy on that (I'm still a bit worn out from Saturday night), I now face a week of some heavy-duty drawing. Specifically, I've got to ink Weds' strip and get it to Hikaru, pencil, ink, and color Friday's strip (it's another football strip, and I just love doing the autumn colors, so I'm doing that one myself), then finish inking and color Saturday's TCM special (again, this is something I want to color myself).

Fortunately, Hikaru already has the strip for next Monday (it's the beginning of the talky-talky I was so concerned about before), so I don't have to worry about getting that off my plate by the end of next weekend. Good thing, too ... next week will be getting the strips up to run while I'm at MFF (and immediately after), as well as last-minute preparations.

I had been planning to auction the original artwork from the Tiffany "I'm Too Sexy" t-shirt this week to help pay for MFF, but since I get a raise starting on Monday[2], I think I'd rather hold on to that for the time being. Kerry has produced some mousepads for me to sell, and BJ will have buttons for me, so between all that, some very generous Tip Jar donations, and the sketchbooks besides, I should be good to go. :)

I think tonight, I need to just hit the hay early (or at least, not as gawdawful late as usual), so I can rest up and be at my best this coming week.

Oh! That reminds me, on Tuesday, the latest CardCaptor Sakura DVD will be released! This should be the "Final Judgement" episodes, where Yue is revealed and Sakura has to fight to earn the right to be the true owner of the Clow Cards. That will be the end of the "first half" of the series as I described it in this long, rambly, English-majory sort of post. As much as I like Yue, I have to admit that this will be a bittersweet thing for me, as the series isn't quite as strong after this. Not quite a shark-jumping moment, perhaps, but certainly the high point, from which it's all downhill from here -- of what I've seen. There is a second feature-length movie which I have not seen.

chastmastr, before you ask, I don't know when would be a good time to have anime-watching night. ;) It might be a cool event to do with the NovaFurs some weekend, tho.)
