For those who've never seen it but should.

See how many references YOU can find! (And the "cleansing bolt of lightning" totally counts as one.)

The smarmy suit-wearing dude at the beginning sounds like Larry Miller. o_o

I'm always distracted by Ralph the All-Purpose Animal's voice coming out of Garfield.

Ah, the nostalgia....

I just spent the afternoon watching the Ghostbusters movies on DVD instead of washing the car, I blame you Gneech :P

Haven't seen this show in years. Used to be one of my Saturday Morning faves. :)

Wasn't there one episode where Ray used some sort of spellbook to experiment with sorcery?

Wouldn't surprise me; the show ran for four years and J. Michael Straczinski was head of the show for a large chunk of that time...

"See how many references YOU can find!"

I caught several, and I'm not even particularly a fan of the Mythos. ;)

Also - and I blame this on my tendency to play Devil's Advocate (perhaps somewhat literally in this case) - but what, besides the theft of the Necronomicon and (possibly) the destruction of an undisclosed amount of amusement park equipment, could the NYPD have arrested the Cult for? "Consulting with the Elder Gods" isn't a crime in most states (yay first amendment), and they'd have a Hell of a time proving the case in any court...

It's a Saturday morning cartoon -- "being the bad guy" is a jailable offense in TV land.

This from the guy who wrote a lengthy, detailed essay on why Earth had no business being in the Babylon 5 Alliance...

Ensil-zha venii. :P

If I remember correctly, that was a satire. :)

Perhaps. It's been a while since I read it myself.

They released a giant rabid squid on Coney Island, get them for animal fighting... the entire world.
