Back from in-laws; the sheer thoroughness of my exhaustion frankly astounds me. I may have to beg off of work tomorrow and just sleep.

Unfortunately, tomorrow's strip is not done ... and I don't know if I'm up to remedying that ... but I'll try.

Well, I got the strip done, as evidenced by its existence on the SJ page. :) This morning, I decided I would sleep in, however, and go to work late. A small, simple thing, really, but it's making me feel MUCH better.

Just a little time where I can move at my own pace for a bit, is all I need.

I know, I know, you likely get that a hundred different ways from a hundred different people, all the time. But.. in my defense, I'd like to say that I'm rather serious, and - I hope you'll not think /too/ badly of me for popping up long enough to say this.

I know who Conrad is, see - or at least, I understand him. I wish that in this universe I looked as good, or spoke as well, or even had remotely the popularity, but I understand him nonetheless. I've stood where you envisioned him this monday, done exactly that and it wasn't easy. And, with it being christmas (moving to new years) and worse.. I've honestly been feeling right sorry for myself lately, and sorry for the fact that I've been alone for a while now. I keep trying to second guess myself, I keep replaying what would have happened once, had I done something just a /little/ differently.

You reminded me today, through your art and through characters I've come to love, of all the reasons /why/ things happened the way they did, and how honestly good it is for her to be happy now. Sometimes I forget things like that.

So - though I ramble, and I'm sure this makes little to no sense, and is probably inappropriate to put /here/, of all places - let me just say, thanks. And keep drawing - for while I've seen you poke at the signifigance of your own work, you'd be suprised what it means to the folks that never say anything. :)
