The worst thing about having it slow here at work all the time is that it gives me time to brood about all the stuff I need to do that I can't work on while I'm here!

Today I'm going to continue the Webmonkey tutorial for cascading stylesheets, partially because I need it for work, and partially because in the upcoming week I hope to revamp the SJ website from stem to stern, as I did with NeverNever when I moved it to Keenspot. I still haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do with it, but at the very least I need to clean and declutter it, update all the links and e-mail addys, etc.

I may also work on a few filler pieces for Vince; he says he doesn't need 'em, tho, so it just depends on if I get inspired or not. If I come up with something and he doesn't need it, I'll just do it as a piece of fanart. ;)

*kowtows in Vince's general direction*

The local mini-meet looks like it's going to be bowling tonight ... there are still no hard-and-fast plans worked out, but I'm guessing it'll be at the usual place, sometime after 7:00.

Merchandise Maven [livejournal.com profile] mammallamadevil and her sainted mother (Grammallamadevil?) have been furiously coming up with stuff ... a Tiffany Blanket, Dover mousepads, and so forth. When I get the CD of images for prints together for Dave, I ought to send one along to her, too, so she can have more stuff to play with! And at some point, we're going to have to sit down and deal with the unpleasant reality of a contract of some kind, if real money starts being transacted. I may ask [livejournal.com profile] level_head for advice on this, since he has more business knowledge in his little finger than I have in my whole body and scattered around the apartment as well.

Ah well, no rest for the furry! (Copyright ©2002 [livejournal.com profile] spikedpunch, all rights reserved)

'tis official, tonight's mini-meet is scheduled to take place at AMF Centreville starting around 7:00ish. Lanes are first-come first-serve, however, and the alley has apparently been quite busy, so if it turns out that none become available before 8:00, we're going to pile into cars and head over to Breakers Billiards instead. If it turns out that that sucks too, I dunno what we'll do. Find an empty lot somewhere and break out the Uno deck, maybe.

If you're in the neighborhood and would like to make an appearance, feel free! Keep in mind, however, that this is very free form. Since the best laid plans gang aft agley, I tend to make very shoddy plans. They don't gang agley quite so aft. Or something like that. ;)

The mini-meet went well. :) [livejournal.com profile] jadedfox, [livejournal.com profile] sk_1, [livejournal.com profile] jamesbarrett, HantaMouse, and myself were in attendance. Camstone Fox and Smirk were also expected to come, but apparently life had other plans. Camstone was stuck at work until later, and then once he got on the road, our friendly neighborhood psycho killer struck again, and the roads were instantly stopped by the police dragnet. (Get 'em, guys!) I doubt he's even gotten home yet.

Anyway, I broke 100 on my first game (which is a good game for me!), but only got 70 on the second. SK-1, of course, beat the pants off the rest of us, which I don't mind telling you, made for a chilly ride home. [1] I had a very pleasant time, and it seemed like everyone else did, too. :)

Anyway, it's late now, and I'm falling asleep, so I'll sign off here. Sleep well, out there in LiveJournalLand! And stay safe.
