I just finished watching this week's
Funday Pawpet Show and hanging out in channel ("#PawPet" on IRC), which I haven't done for a long time, and have missed. Probably one of my all-time happiest memories associated with the furry fandom, was the live Pawpet Show at MFM2000 [1], which was packed, and they brought the house down.

hantamouse,

jamesbarrett, and I were singing, "The window, the window, she threw him out the window!" for a week. :)
The reason I don't watch it very often is a simple one: it's a huuuuuge time-sink. It runs from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm EST on Sunday, and while I can get small amounts of work done during slow moments, if I watch the show I generally spend that whole window of time watching the feed with one eye, and channel with the other. Still, when I can afford the time, it's worth it ... it's almost like having a mini furry con without even leaving the house. :)
Anyway, it's been a nice, productive weekend, which is of course my favorite kind. :) I finished

ramalion's commission, which will run with
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) welah
welah's next weekend as the Saturday Grab Bag, I got the strip penciled through mid-February and inked for almost all of that, and wrote scripts for almost all the way through the month. Since I'll be heading down to Tidewater next weekend for probably all three days, the more buffer of strips I can put ahead of me between now and then, the better.
I have also come up with a concept that I'd like to develop for gaming the weekend after that. I was going to try to run some
Ironclaw, in deference to

athelind, and I probably still will at some point, but I have another idea that I would like to try before then. I'm not going to tell too much about it while it's only half-baked, but I will mention
BESM d20 in passing...
Oh! And I designed a new character for SJ, who I'm very pleased with. I mentioned that he was inspired by one of the sketchbooks I did at FC and a guest strip by
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) kelloggs2066
kelloggs2066; it occurred to me as I actually drew his first appearance in the strip, that another major piece of inspiration was a recent piece by
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) meowzaroonie
meowzaroonie ... specifically, one of the pieces I won in the FC2004 art show. However, Vince will probably resent that, since this character is neither buff, nor grouchy. ;)
(Just kidding! Don't hit or yell!)
I'm sure there are actually lots of other places this character came from -- he rather reminds me of one of the characters in my fantasy novels, as well -- but those are the primary three sources. So thanks, appropriate parties, for the inspiration! And now, it's time for bed. G'nite!

[1] Although it might have been MFF2000 ... those two particular cons tend to run together in my mind for various reasons. The main thing I remember is the packed room, and the Pawpets doing "Bohemian Rhapsody."
