Happy Birthday,
Mar. 24th, 2005 08:23 amChannelling My Inner Comfort
Mar. 24th, 2005 11:04 amMore money I shouldn't have spent on stuff I really wanted to have! I have definitely gotta live on ramen for a few weeks, but it was worth it.
Yesterday, a package from Amazon came to my door with four CDs in it:
I ripped 'em all, popped 'em onto the thumb drive, and brought them in to work today. I started listening at around 9:00 and two hours later still only 3/5 of the way through! But I'm having a great time!
The Love Hina stuff is a mix of Jpop and incidental soundtrack pieces, including a handful of tracks that are variations on the same song; the Powerpuff Girls stuff, on the other hand, is mostly technoey mixes of music from the series with soundclips and such, except for a few notable songs such as "Go Monkey Go" by Devo and "Buttercup (I'm a Super Girl)" by Shonen Knife, which are just plain cool pop songs that happen to have a PPG theme.
So, yeah, I've got the musical tastes of a teenage girl. ;P But I'm happy, so who cares!

The Muse Works In Mysterious Ways
Mar. 24th, 2005 03:19 pmWell, apparently somebody in a position of power was reading this post because my counselor rescheduled tonight's appointment today. Oh well, hopefully I can get the April 1 strip inked tonight, and possibly do some sketches.
Also, I booked my room for AnthroCon today! I need to send off the T'Chall pic for the conbook sometime in the next few days, too. I wanted to do at least one more piece, but time is against me -- the deadline for entries is April 2, but I'm going to be out of town this weekend and wishing my dad a big ol' Happy 80th next week, so it's going to be all I can do to keep the strips moving and Tough Breaks moving forward.
Alas, at this stage, I don't think Tough Breaks will be ready by AnthroCon; there's just too much reconstruction needed. But I'll keep pushing as much as I can!
