I haven't had a lot to say about the post-Katrina situation, but at some point you've gotta wonder WTF is going on.

We've got cops in New Orleans herding people over a bridge, saying "there are buses on the other side," while the cops from the county on the other side are shooting over the people's heads and telling 'em "You can't come into our county!"

We've got mercenary companies armed with M-16s wandering the streets while citizens have their legally-registered firearms confiscated.

Yeesh.
