WTF? (Or Body Image In Dreams)

I completely slept in today ... like 'til 10:30 ... which is something I almost never do these days. One of the things this is guaranteed to do, besides annoy me that I've missed a perfectly good three hours of writing/drawing/something else more productive than sleeping, is to give me weird dreams.

The one I particularly remember from this morning was that I was getting dressed and I happened to catch myself in the mirror, and was startled by what I saw there.

Presumably on the basis of lots of work on the Bowflex, I was not the usual pudgy sack of flesh we're all used to -- but I was not exactly Apollo either. I had this ridiculously narrow, wasp-like waist, abs so cut that you could use them like scissors, super-developed latissimus dorsi, and no pectorals whatsover, just this flat expanse where my chest used to be. 0.o

The main thing I remember thinking was, "Well! This is progress, but it's not exactly what I wanted."

Then I woke up.

I'm guessing this dream was prompted by soreness in the lats, brought on by adding the lying cable crossover to my routine. It sorta makes that part of me prominent in my mind at the moment (owie).

Over dinner I had an idea for a B&G Fictionlet and thought, "That's a good idea, I'll have to remember it so I can write it up when I get home." lythandra and I then went over to jamesbarrett and hantamouse's place, and I completely forgot what it was.
