My close friend and former business partner Kerry O'Day, known to many as MammaLlamaDevil or MLD, has been fighting cancer for the past several months. Earlier today I received an e-mail from her mother informing me that Kerry's cancer had spread throughout her body, and that she had been put onto heavy medication to ease her pain but that they were basically waiting.
Just now, while calling all of Kerry's close friends I had contact for to tell them of this, I received a phone call from our mutual friend Susan Rankin-Pollard that Kerry passed away peacefully in the intervening time.
I have tried to reach her closest friends that I had contact information for. I apologize to anyone who has to find out by reading this post.
I will post more information on condolences for the family, services, etc. as I get it. Right now all of us who loved Kerry (and there are many, many of us) are simply dealing with the blow.
Warm thoughts for her family are appreciated. Thank you.
