Well, I definitely made the right choice in going to Kung Fu tonight instead of Wednesday. I would have just been going through the motions on Wednesday, which would have wasted Sifu's time and my money. Tonight, however, I was up and running (literally), with good form and more endurance than ever. I only had to bow out a few times, and at least one of those times, I wasn't the only one. This has definitely been my best class yet.
I need to work on two things more than anything else: first is basic stance practice. My foot and leg muscles need to develop strength and endurance both, and I need to develop balance. Second, is upper arm strength, i.e., PUSH UPS. When we do the strength training phase of class, we do a ton of evil ab exercises (basically like Pilates), then we flip over and do pushups -- but by that point, my abs and lower back muscles are so wiped out that I can't hold the pushup form long enough to actually work my arms.
I also still want to do the jumprope, but I can't do that indoors, and it's kinda harsh weather for doing it outdoors!
Anyway, it's after midnight now, so I'm going to head off to bed I think. G'nite world, and have a wonderful tomorrow!
