Haven't really followed anything, other than knowing it was coming out. Do you happen to know if it is an aqtual sequel that follows the events of the first movie, or a reboot?

It's kind of a "soft reboot." There are all sorts of references and easter eggs, but it's not a direct sequel to the earlier movies.

I'm not sure about it, the trailer is good, but not great. Then again, as I recall, the trailer for the original wouldn't've made you expect what we got, so we'll see, perhaps later trailers will give us a better idea.
